Hammerhead Shark - Raku Animal Sculpture

I like to make little sharks and whales for shows and fairs, they are always a best seller.

I usually have one or two left over and here is one such hammerhead.

This one has a copper reduction glaze that is deliberately fired with high O2 availability. This helps ensure the glaze oxidises and gives greenish blue hues, perfect for a wee hammerhead.

Raku firing gives a unique crackle glaze and soft smoky finish. All my ceramic sculptures are made by hand from clay so no two can ever be the same. They are then then twice fired before careful cleaning and finishing. Look out for the brass button featuring my elephant logo, this is your guarantee of an original piece
