Hippo and Tapir Sculpture

Baby Hippos make great sculpture subjects, their skin colour is great for raku firing. This is Charlie a recently rescued orphan.

Tapirs are closely related to Hippos and Horses, I love their long wiggly noses and their colour is just spot on for Black and White Raku firing. I also make baby tapirs, babies are stripy and I hope to bring you some images of baby raku tapirs soon.
